Things to avoid when you’re trying to conceive

Pregnancy is a particular moment in a woman’s life where they experience motherhood. Although one plans to be extra careful regarding their health during their pregnancy tenures, they should also not overlook certain things while trying to get pregnant. One needs to take care of their health so they can determine the chances of conception.

According to tiny step , certain things like alcohol and smoking, excessive caffeine and high mercury fish should be avoided to have a normal pregnancy and then delivery. To produce healthy babies, women need to avoid smoking and alcohol as they are harmful to both baby and their mother. One needs to keep a check on their habits including their partner’s lifestyle as these habits can have an impact on their fertility.

Similarly, everyone is addicted to caffeine and finds it hard to forgo having a cup of coffee every day. But if one is consuming more than 200mg of caffeine every day, it’s time to cut down their habit, so that they can have a healthy baby.

Everyone likes to consume seafood because of its nutritional value and would help in becoming pregnant. Still choosing the wrong fish can lead to a drastic effect, as most fish swallow pollutants that are in the sea. Most of the fish consume dangerous toxins like mercury, which is a heavy metal and may lead to lesser chances of getting pregnant. As a result, one needs to avoid high mercury fish like mackerel, swordfish, shark and some varieties of tuna. Apart from taking care of their diet, it’s also important to avoid working in dangerous conditions in the work environment and should try to choose an alternative career for some time.
